10 – John Johnson (Randwick 1983)

John Johnson started as a Green Shield boy with Randwick in 1959. He made his Grade debut in 2nd Grade in 1964-65 before being elevated to 1st Grade. He became one of Randwick’s most successful lower grade captains leading his charges to a 3rd Grade Premiership in 1979-80. Johnson scored 4,547 runs in his 20 season career and took 151 wickets with his off-spinners. He served as social secretary, club selector and on the Management Committee for many years.
