12 – Peter Bain (Petersham-Marrickville 1988)
Peter Bain played his first match with Petersham-Marrickville in 1968-69 and his last in 1990-91, some 23 seasons and 280 games later. He began as a right arm leg-spinning all-rounder before developing into a specialist opening batsman and change bowler. He was a member of the 1st Grade Premiership team of 1974-75 and towards the end of his career captained a number of lower grade teams. In his playing days he scored 4,666 runs and took 202 wickets with 1,202 runs and 69 wickets in 1st Grade. His highest score was 152 in 2nd Grade. Peter joined the Management Committee in 1985 and served until the merger with Randwick in 2001. He was delegate to the Sydney Cricket Association from 1991-92 and to NSW Cricket Association from 1995-96.
