Andrew Millican joined Randwick in 1980-81 as a 14 years old Green Shield wicketkeeper/batsman. He made his 1st Grade debut at age 17 and was named 1st Grade captain in 1990-91. Two seasons later in 1993-94 he was named SCA 1st Grade Captain of the Year. In 22 seasons Andrew “Spike” Millican played 320 games for Randwick and Randwick Petersham. He played 245 in 1st Grade where he scored 6,694 runs of his club total of 8,901. He hit 7 centuries in 1st Grade and 8 overall, with a highest score of 152. Behind the stumps he effected 402 dismissals including 344 in 1st Grade (297 catches; 47 stumpings). In his early years he was the no. 1 keeper for the NSW under 16’s and 19’s. Millican was a member of Randwick Petersham’s team to take the 1st Grade field for the first time in 2001-02. He was also named Club Captain in each of the club’s first two seasons and was the first person to be awarded life membership under the new banner of Randwick Petersham.
