The Randy Petes have been given a huge boost for the upcoming season with the arrival of former Adelaide Strikers left arm quick Greg West.

The 22 tear old has joined the club for the 2016/17 Season and will add some serious heat to the fast bowling ranks in the higher grades.

West has high hopes for the upcoming season, and believees the First Grade side are a real premeirship threat.

“Some of the past players and current players involved in this club to build the culture it has is special,” West said.

“It’s something you need to have if you have aspirations of winnig a competitions, and I think the Randy Petes has that.

The 22 year old found success last season in the Big Bash League with heavyweights Adelaide Strikers, and credits the club for helping evolve hi as a cricketer.

“My experience with the Strikers was the best thing for my cricket to date,” West said.

“I had some world class players in my team and hopefully it will be at a level I can get to again because it was wonderful.”

The First Grade ranks look as strong as ever this season and despite a somewhat disappointing 2015/16 campaign, they will always remain a side rival clubs fear.

West is quoted as saying, “I see a lot of quality in this squad.”

“I think we have a great mix of different ages and levels; I look forward to playing with all of them.”

The pre-seasonis now in full-swing and West has been in top form as he hopes to translate his Big Bash success to the Randy Petes in the 2016/17 season.
