To All Our Dedicated Volunteers At Taste of Coogee – thank you for all your support and hard work over the weekend. It was great to have many of you there for parts of the day or both. The sun came out and we were able to again reinforce our force as a community based club.

Our Coogee Oval held up after Friday’s rain and it was amazing to see it transformed into an outstanding event with an estimated 20,000 people attending over the weekend. The food and wine was outstanding and locals and visitors alike enjoyed the great atmosphere.

Again thanks to all volunteers: Neale Anderson, Robin Gardner, John Stewart, Carmel Soames, Chris Sullivan, Alan Wright, Karl Schubert, Damian Sidney, Aden Nawaz, Hayden Fox, Brian and Fay Semple, Adam Semple, Tamara Kemp, Alex Kemp, Bella Kemp, Peter Rolls, Wayne Mulherin, Peter Devlin, Nick Warren, Sally Poole, Jeremy Jastrzab, John Connell, David Holland, Anthony Sams, Errol Sams, Roy and Sally Kowarski, Matt Wallis, Paul O’Loughlin, Liam O’Loughlin and Alex Deller.

Special thanks to Carmel Soames, Neale Anderson, Peter Devlin and John Stewart on their work behind the scenes work since November last year in ensuring all aspects were covered.

Congratulations to Bernadette Summers, BJ and Adrian and the team from Coogee Chamber of Commerce for organising a fantastic Community focused event!!

Finally, I must thank Dane and Damien from Green Options for their support during the testing periods on Friday and Saturday. They did a sterling job!!

Cheers,

Mike Whitney
