The Ella Brothers/Whitney Scoreboard

A wonderful honour was bestowed on four of Randwick’s favourite sporting sons by Randwick City Council with the unveiling of The Ella Brothers / Whitney Scoreboard by the Mayor Cr Kathey Neilson at Coogee Oval prior to the Randwick v Argentina match on September 7, 2019.

These gentleman began their junior careers together playing rugby league at La Perouse before forging separate paths at Coogee Oval for Randwick with Mark, Gary and Glen Ella donning the Wallabies jumper while Michael Whitney donned the Baggy Green of Australia.

It is certainly a wonderful tribute as the Ella Brothers and Whitney left an indelible mark on the turf of Coogee Oval.
