Following a mountain of runs and wickets to kickstart their respective 2020-21 seasons three former Randwick Juniors, Rav De Silva, Jackson Eldridge and Mitchell O’Loughlin, will make their First Grade debuts for Randwick Petersham against Manly-Warringah this Saturday.
Eldridge was this season named 2nd Grade skipper and the weight of captaincy has so far produced 247 runs at 49.40 with a HS 114. While De Silva has scored 193 runs at 38.60 with a mammoth 165 v Bankstown. Also Jacko and Rav smashed a new 3rd wicket partnership in 2nd Grade, surpassing Richard Phillips and David Mitchell’s 168 set in 2002-03 v St George, putting on 246 v Bankstown at Coogee. While Mitchell O’Loughlin has claimed 16 wickets at 14.75 across 2s and PGs with a best of 3-42.
The 3 players have worked hard on their game and moved through the ranks at the Randy Petes. They are the first three players for Randwick Petersham who have played every Grade at the Club from Metro Cup to 2s, as well as Green Shield and PGs, and now will become First Grade capped players 136, 137 and 138.
All at the Randy Petes and Randwick Juniors wish these three local lads all the best in their debuts.
