2nd Grade is at Raby 1 (Campbelltown): We are 16th and The Ghosts are 17th. No good making the trek out there for no points so a bit of determination should do the trick. We have a record of 7 wins to 3 with 6 draws over them. Their last win against us was on this ground in 2011-12, 275 to 259. Jackson Gwynne makes his debut with the club.
3rd Grade is at Coogee: The team still leads the comp after only 2 matches got on last weekend. Campbelltown is 8th. Our record is 7 wins to 5 with 4 drawn. We have won the last 3 clashes.
4th Grade is at Raby 2 (Campbelltown): They are 14th and we are 16th. Neither side has won a match as yet this season. Let’s hope it is us to break the deadlock! We have won the past 2 matches while they won the previous 4. Our record overall is better—7 wins to 4 with 6 draws.
Metropolitan Cup. Gold will play Blacktown Mounties at Snape on Saturday and Green plays Georges River at Coogee on Sunday. The Gold team will be chomping at the bit to get back on the park, having had the last two matches washed out. With their game having reverted to Saturday, a number of rep cricketers will be available and ready to challenge the visitors from the west. Thomas ‘Little Gibbo’ Gibson bowled with pace and menace to help set up Green’s win against Hawkesbury last week and will be looking to continue turning up the heat for Gold. Green will head to the seaside resort at Coogee Oval to take on Georges River, and will want to build on their momentum from the previous weekend following a bonus point win. E-Young ‘Pingu’ Khoo has been in the runs and wickets this season so far, and will soon be bashing down the door for higher honours.
Poidevin-Gray is at Petersham Oval on SUNDAY from 10am: A disappointing start to the season with 2 losses. Mosman are equal leaders on points. We need to bring our A Game. It is the curtain-raiser to the T20 match at 2.30pm.
