Preview T20 Semi Final v Fairfield Liverpool & Round 4 Day 2

Kingsgrove Sports T20 Cup SEMI-FINAL v Fairfield-Liverpool, SUNDAY, Coogee Oval at 2.30pm.

We are just one win away from another Twenty20 Cup Grand Final! A win over Fairfield-Liverpool on Sunday will put us into our 5th Grand Final. Of the 7 semi-finals we have played, we have won 6. Our only loss in a semi was to Gordon last year. If we can knock over the Lions on Sunday, we will be on track for our 5th premiership in this competition. Interestingly, of the 84 T20 matches we have played since the competition began in 2009-10, 14 years ago, we have never played Fairfield- Liverpool! Sunday’s match will be new ground for both teams.

Support the Randy Petes! Be at Coogee Oval THIS SUNDAY and cheer loudly!

Round 4 v Western Suburbs

This round concludes on Saturday. We are presently LEADING THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP by 51 points courtesy of a great win with a BONUS POINT by our under21 Poidevin-Gray boys last Sunday.

In second place is Western Suburbs, our opponents on Saturday. If we are to stay ahead of them, our teams will need to put in on Saturday as the Magpies have the upper hand with the scores posted last weekend.

1st Grade: We are chasing 7-365 at Coogee–Wests’ highest-ever score against us.
2nd Grade: We made 139 and Wests are 3-105. We need wickets–and quick!
3rd Grade: We made 183 and Wests are 0-67. Like 2s, quick wickets are needed.
4th Grade: Wests made 286–their highest-ever score against us in 4th Grade. We are 1-12.
5th Grade: We made 121 and Wests are 3-20 in reply. Seven wickets for not many will do the job.

Round 4 Metropolitan Cup matches are in the balance.

RPC Gold are 21 in arrears chasing Sydney Uni’s 123 following their magnificent bowling effort which culminated in 9 wickets falling for 13 runs.

RPC Green trails Mosman at Petersham by 146 runs and are geared up for a big chase this Sunday.
